Fenghai signed project handover certificate with MNPHI

On the afternoon of October 12, the signing ceremony of the China aided project of micro-grid seawater desalination in Maldives was held at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (MNPHI) of the Maldives. Wang Lixin, Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Wang Qihui, Counselor of Economic and Commercial Office, Mohamed Aslam, Minister of MNPHI, Fathimath Shaana Farooq, Director General of MNPHI, Wu Kailong, General Manager Assistant of Fenghai attended the ceremony.


Shaana reported the operation of the projects on the five islands, and the two sides have completed the acceptance of all the islands, and the Maldivian side believes that the project is satisfactory for handover.

Aslam sincerely thanked the Chinese government for the aid and highly appreciated the work of the Chinese side. It is believed that the seawater desalination project has indeed solved the problem of water shortage on the islands. He instructed that the project department must attach great importance, form a regular management mechanism, and regularly report the operation of the equipment to the Chinese Embassy to maximize the function of the project.

Ambassador Wang said that the Chinese side will, as always, maintain close communication with the Maldivian side and always follow the operation of the project. Fenghai is required to cooperate with MNPHI to complete regular inspection and provide all-round technical support to ensure stable and efficient operation of the equipment.

Wu Kailong and Shaana signed the handover certificate on behalf of the two sides, marking the formal completion of the technical transfer of the China aided project of micro-grid seawater desalination in Maldives undertaken by Fenghai.
